Okay, here is my sharing about how I made plum milk today:
Yesterday, my friend brought me a big bag of fresh plums from his farm. They were so juicy and sweet that I ate a bunch of them, but I still had a lot left, so I thought, why not try making something new with them? That’s when I decided to make some plum milk.
First, I washed the plums under running water, making sure to get rid of any dirt or leaves. Then, I took the clean plums and put them in a bowl. Next, I halved each plum with a knife and removed the pits. It was a bit of a messy process, but I managed to get it done without too much trouble.
After that, I threw the pitted plums into my blender. I poured in some condensed milk – I didn’t measure it, just eyeballed it until it looked like enough. I also added a handful of ice cubes because I wanted the drink to be cold and refreshing.
- Washed the plums
- Halved and pitted them
- Put them in a blender with condensed milk and ice
I turned on the blender and let it do its thing for a couple of minutes. I stopped it a few times to check the consistency and add a bit more milk or ice as needed. I wanted it to be smooth but not too watery.
Once it was all blended up, I poured the mixture into a mixing bowl. Then, I whipped some evaporated milk in another bowl using an electric mixer until it was nice and thick. I gently spooned the whipped milk into the plum mixture and beat it again with the mixer until it was all fluffy and well combined. It looked so good!
Cool It Down
Finally, I poured the plum milk into glasses and put them in the fridge. I was so eager to try it, but it needed time to chill. So after about three long, long hours of waiting, I finally got to taste my creation. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait! The plum milk was creamy, tangy, and sweet all at the same time. It was the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot day.
I shared the plum milk with my family, and they all loved it too. My kids said it tasted like a fancy milkshake. I think I might try adding some other fruits next time, like apples or maybe some berries, to see how that changes the flavor. I heard that plums go great with other stone fruits such as peaches, nectarines, and apricots. And berries, such as cherries, raspberries, and strawberries are also good with plums. Overall, it was a fun experiment, and I’m definitely going to make it again sometime!
